What is BALF?

The Bay Area Leadership Foundation provides a path to college and career success for local underserved teens who may otherwise fall through the cracks.

 

What are the barriers to college?

According to the Center for American Progress, "The primary issue in college access is no longer building college aspirations, but building a clear path for students to achieve their goals."

What can you do to help?

Visit Get Involved and make a donation to help today's teens in underfunded high schools and crime-ridden cities succeed in academics and life.

College Campus Tours

Annually, our ACCESS program students visit Bay Area college and university campuses to experience firsthand a day-in-the-life of a college student. The educational day tour includes college related workshops and a resource fair. Our students have toured the California State University East Bay, San Jose, and Chico campuses.

Dine Out

Dine-Out

Enjoying a nice family dinner is a fine way to start a lovely evening. Each quarter, the Bay Area Leadership Foundation partners with Bay Area restaurants to bring you Dine Out events. By taking a night off from kitchen duty, you will help support the Foundation's college scholarship fund and ACCESS program while enjoying a nice meal at one of our generous participating restaurants.
