Underfunded high schools and crime-ridden cities form a dangerous labyrinth for today's teens.  A few steps in the wrong direction and a capable young person can fall through the cracks.

One of those kids was Jacob Hernandez. He thought school was a joke and spent his middle school years skipping class and picking fights. After three years of help from the Bay Area Leadership Foundation, he earned a 4.3 GPA and acceptance to the University of California, Davis. He says, "The Foundation helped me map out a plan for my life."

The mission of the Bay Area Leadership Foundation is to provide economically disadvantaged youth throughout the region with the support and resources to move through high school, college and back to their communities as employable, successful leaders.

We invite you to join one of our three donor pools, giving what you can to guide these worthy teenagers to a future filled with promise.

Honor Roll - $100-$650
Donations at this level provide funding for school supplies, monthly stipends for academic mentors, and Saturday Sessions for ACCESS students.

$100 School supplies for one year of high school	$200 One Saturday Session, where BALF students visit colleges, explore careers, and volunteer in their communities
$400 One monthly stipend for a BALF Academic Mentor who provides daily after-school tutoring and college counseling	$650 Books and school supplies for one semester of college

Dean's List -    $750-$6,500
Donations of this stature provide funding for single semester or annual scholarships at community college, California State University, University of California, and private college for ACCESS student graduates.

$750 One semester community college scholarship	$1,500 Annual Community College scholarship
$2,500 One semester CSU scholarship	$3,250 One semester UC or private college scholarship
$5,000 Annual CSU scholarship	$6,500 Annual UC or private college scholarship

Chancellor's Circle - $9,600-$25,000
Leadership donations provide full funding for the annual stipends of academic mentors and multiple annual college scholarships. The top donation level of $25,000 will provide for a full Bay Area Leadership Foundation student experience, from high school sophomore to college graduate.
