Welcome to BAY AREA LEADERSHIP FOUNDATION

The mission of the Bay Area Leadership Foundation is simple: recruit and mentor students who, if given a helping hand, will grow beyond their difficult circumstances and excel in high school and college.

Established in 2001, the Leadership Foundation serves students from Oakland, Richmond, Pittsburg and San Jose - some of the Bay Area’s most economically challenged areas. Our goal is for each student to graduate from higher education and become a productive member the local community. And, in turn, give back time and resources to the next generation.

Leadership students come from many walks of life. The common thread is that each needs a pathway to success. Through mentorship, academic and career exposure, and financial support our students are coupled with academic coordinators to chart their life course.

With this in mind, the foundation partners with participating high schools, guidance counselors, teachers and volunteers to build an academic curriculum of success combined with an agenda of social exposure that enhances the lives of our students.

Once high school is completed, the foundation provides support services and financial assistance laying a foundation for our students to have a meaningful collegiate experience.
