The Bay Area Leadership Foundation is proud to share a note from Vonnie Hill, mother of ACCESS Program student Lamondo Hill.
"My son has been a part of the program for four years now and I feel that your staff represents success in all ways. Being a single mother raising two young African American sons by myself in one of the highest crime cities, it's just so nice for Lamondo to have a role model to look up to. I'm so happy that he has the opportunity to see (BALF Executive Director) Greg Young demonstrating that just because you live in Richmond, you don't have to be a product of Richmond.
Heather Priebe has been so supportive in all ways. She knows that I have to work late hours and takes the time to make sure that my son and others attend the required meetings for the program. I have never had to wonder if Heather would return my call—she was always on point. If it looked like something wasn't right, she was on the phone with me on one hand and with Lamondo's school counselor on the other hand. Thank you to all of the staff at the Foundation for an outstanding job."
